This bug is able to walk on the surface tension of water due to the hydrogen bonding pulling all of the other water molecules to the sides and down, but not up.

The AMAZING Platinum
Platinum has been fighting crime since the beginning of time, but the first written account of him was from Julius C. Scaliger in 1557. Scaliger described Platinum as a very odd metal that was found in gold mines between Panama and Mexico. His super powers consist of his skin being fire retardant, his bones are very flexible, and he can transform in to a deadly bomb if around his buddies Hydrogen and Oxygen. He has a very reliable and super powerful alliance. This alliance consists of Ruthenium, Rhodium, Palladium, Osmium, and Iridium. They make up the "Sexy Six." This alliance of super powerful super heroes is the most prominent group of crime stoppers in the world. They travel all around the world preventing danger and saving lives. The one weakness of Platinum is that he dissolves if put in aqua regia, or chloroplatinic acid. He has beautiful, silky, silver hair and he has a light, almost white complexion. He was recently featured on the cover of the magazine "Super Heroes" for being recognized as the sexiest super hero of the year. An English chemist by the name of William H. Wollaston came up with a commercial process for producing Platinum. This chemist just so happened to discover all of the other super heroes in the Sexy Six. They refer to him as their grandfather. After William H. Wollaston died in 1828, the Sexy Six broke apart. They got in a huge argument over which super hero was better, and which one Grandpa Will liked the most. This all boiled down to Ruthenium and Palladium ganging up on Platinum and throwing him in to a pool of chloroplatinic acid.http://www.webelements.com/platinum/ http://www.chemicool.com/elements/platinum.html

History of The Periodic Table
Dalton played a key role in the periodic table. He discovered that everything was made up of "ultimate particle" or atoms. From this theory, he came up with atomic weight and made the first attempt to organize the elements. Next was Bezalius, he wanted to put the elements in some order. He found out that silicon is in glass and started arranging the elements. Dobereiner discovered triads, and that they were similar, so they must be a family. Mendeleev was the first person to successfully organize the elements. He organized them by combining two of the ideas of previous scientists into one, which he called "chemical solitaire." Next came Cannizaro, who found a way to measure the atomic weights of each element accurately. Newlands noticed that the elements were arranged by weight and that certain things repeated. He called these things that repeated the "Law of Octaves." He presented this idea at a meeting for the chemistry society. They thought that this idea was absurd. He also came up with the Law of Periodicity. Finally, Moseley arranged the periodic table by atomic number. He was able to do to this because of the discovery of the proton.
I found Dalton very interesting because he had a passion for weather. The video said that he would just sit outside his house on the mountain and look at all of the weather and record it in a notebook. He kept a meteorological diary for 57 years.
