I found Dalton very interesting because he had a passion for weather. The video said that he would just sit outside his house on the mountain and look at all of the weather and record it in a notebook. He kept a meteorological diary for 57 years.

History of The Periodic Table
Dalton played a key role in the periodic table. He discovered that everything was made up of "ultimate particle" or atoms. From this theory, he came up with atomic weight and made the first attempt to organize the elements. Next was Bezalius, he wanted to put the elements in some order. He found out that silicon is in glass and started arranging the elements. Dobereiner discovered triads, and that they were similar, so they must be a family. Mendeleev was the first person to successfully organize the elements. He organized them by combining two of the ideas of previous scientists into one, which he called "chemical solitaire." Next came Cannizaro, who found a way to measure the atomic weights of each element accurately. Newlands noticed that the elements were arranged by weight and that certain things repeated. He called these things that repeated the "Law of Octaves." He presented this idea at a meeting for the chemistry society. They thought that this idea was absurd. He also came up with the Law of Periodicity. Finally, Moseley arranged the periodic table by atomic number. He was able to do to this because of the discovery of the proton.

Good job, Scot. Your information is correct. Next time I would like to see a couple of more sentences on your optional pararaph. Consider adding picture on your next post.
